  • Created Philadelphia Mortgage Diversion Program, which prevents people from losing homes

  • Supported Philadelphia Internship Tax Credit, which allowed students to receive a stipend for internships

  • Wrote law for 5% of City's annual Community Development Block Grant to be used for mixed-use property financing

Policing and Justice:

  • Added amendments to Ban the Box legislation to further restricts city agencies and private employers from checking criminal background

  • Supports CVN Bill, with allows police to choose to issue $100 citation instead of arrest for certain kinds of offenses, such as disorderly conduct or drunkenness

  • Worked with DA and mayor on Witness Intimidation Law, which commits to protecting those who provide eyewitness testimony
